Dump truck rear-ender causes brain injury

As our client, a paraeducator, was driving to work one morning, she was rear-ended by a dump truck and suffered a traumatic brain injury. She received extensive treatment over several years and worked hard to overcome her injuries and the deficits they caused. At the same time, we worked to prepare her case for trial. We met with her doctors, took depositions of witnesses and experts, and ultimately readied the case to try to a jury. On the eve of trial, the client felt fully empowered to choose the outcome of her case. Ultimately, she chose to resolve her claims rather than face a jury. It was a decision she did not make likely and that she felt was best for her. We respected the ownership she took over her case and her life, and resolved the claims on her behalf.
